" I’ve only known Ana a.k.a. La Barbilona for a short time… but in the short time I’ve known her, she has been able to reach my heart, touch my soul... with her paintings, poems, and personality. She truly is one of a kind, someone very special. I feel fortunate..lucky even, to have been allowed into her world.
Her words/poems are powerful… they paint pictures that are just as vivid and colorful as her paintings and her personality. Every time she shares a poem, the message lingers in my mind for a long time. And even after the initial impact of the poem has faded, the message remains and certain things in life no longer look the same…
Her paintings have a way of piercing through that wall of oblivion I was once behind. To me art was just that, art. Something pretty to look at… Until I saw Mujer de Colores… I never looked at a painting and felt a connection to it that made me feel joy and pain all at once. I felt like that painting was made for me… like it was my joy, my pain, my life.. all over that canvas… I was truly touched.
Thank you Ana, Barbi… for opening my eyes to a whole new world. You have helped me discover a side of me I didn’t even know existed. Again, Thank you.

Your art almost captures ur beauty but it really is to great to put in any box any cage any canvas you are a pure beauty & trying to capture that is like trying to hold air in ur hand...
